Custom ATS Report Creation Guide for The Walt

Welcome to TheWalt! This guide will walk you through the process of creating a custom ATS report that you can upload to our platform to gain valuable insights into your recruitment pipeline. Whether you're using Excel (CSV), Google Sheets, or any other spreadsheet software. This step-by-step guide is designed to be easy to follow, even for non-technical users.
At its core, The Walt is here to help you understand your pipeline. The two common and impactful reports we believe will separate you from a good Recruiter to a great Recruiter are: Stage Conversions and Time In Stage.

Step 1: Open Your Spreadsheet Program

Begin by opening your preferred spreadsheet program, whether it's Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. We will be using Google sheets for this example.

Step 2: Create a New Sheet

In your spreadsheet program, create a new sheet where you will input your custom ATS report data.

Step 3: Define Your Stages

In the first column of your sheet, list out the stages of your recruitment process. These could be stages like "Recruiter Screen", "Interview Scheduled", "Offer Extended", etc. Feel free to customise these stage names to match your specific workflow.
We want to make sure Recruiters have the freedom to use stage names to their choosing. So, you have the freedom to call each stage whatever you please or whatever is reflective of your current work flow. The Walts technology will give you the command to select which stages you want to use and what they mean before generating the report.

Step 4: Enter Numeric Values

In the columns adjacent to each stage name, enter the corresponding numeric values. These values represent metrics such as the number of candidates at each stage or the time spent in each stage. You can use whole numbers or decimals as needed.

What if I don't track numerically?

No worries! You can still upload your custom ATS report to The Walt. Our platform will guide you on how to designate and interpret your data, even if it's not strictly numerical.

Step 5: Customise Candidate Status Titles

If you'd like to customise the titles for candidate status, such as "Rejected Candidates" or "Hired," you can do so in the first row of your sheet. Just make sure these titles align with the data you're inputting.

Step 6: Save Your Spreadsheet as a CSV File

Once you've entered all your data, save your spreadsheet as a CSV (Comma-Separated Values) file. This file format is compatible with The Walt and allows for easy uploading of your custom ATS report.

Step 7: Upload Your CSV Report to The Walt

Log in to The Walt platform and navigate to the section where you can upload custom ATS reports. Select the option to upload a file, and choose the CSV file you created in the previous step.

Step 8: Review and Analyse Your Insights

Once your custom ATS report has been uploaded, The Walt will process the data and generate insightful reports based on your recruitment pipeline. Take some time to review these insights and gain valuable information about your recruiting efforts.
With this guide, you now have the tools to create and upload custom ATS reports to The Walt, empowering you to gain deeper insights into your recruitment pipeline and enhance your recruiting process. Happy analysing!
